You could tell everyone felt so happy and comfortable, and of course proud. I really think that these type of parades are really good for the gay community. I also feel that once a year isn’t enough, and there should be several a year. If you saw how happy everyone was, you would definitely agree with me.

I’m not part of the gay community, but I’m one of those people who do feel very strongly about gay rights. I do have a lot of gay friends, and I was very happy to see smiles on their faces as they watched the parade.

TV and he could not stop talking about it the other night. I went over to his house to watch the game and have a few beers. He just kept raving about how cool his new satellite TV was. I have to admit, after he showed me how many sports channels he has, I was convinced that it was pretty darn cool. It is always a trip when we get together. We are both huge baseball fans but he likes the Red Sox and I like the Yankees. These two things are usually not compatible, but we have been friends for over 10 years. Owning your own business is so much more than making your own hours and setting the dress code. I used to fantasize about how awesome it would be to be my own boss but at it turns out it’s just a heck of a lot of responsibility. My girlfriend is probably the best girlfriend a guy could ever get. Last month I found out I was being transferred to Texas. While I was excited, I knew I was going to miss my girlfriend. The time has finally come, and gay marriages have become legal in several states. Many of these states may be far away from you, and you may have to even travel far away just to get married. Well you are in luck if you are looking to get married,and you live in or near Washington. It’s been said that the Governor of Washington is going to sign the legislation to legalize gay marriage on Monday. We’ve been waiting a long time for this, and it is truly good news. Unfortunately we will have to wait until June to actually have it be effective, but considering how long we’ve waited, I think we can wait a little bit longer.

I’m going to focus on San Diego first. This is the place where I found so  many gay bars, and many of them are actually decent. Hillcrest is the place to go if you are looking for the typical town for restaurants, coffee shops, boutiques, etc. I would strongly recommend this area of San Diego if you either live in the area or are thinking of vacation spots.

As a whole, I wouldn’t strongly suggest Las Vegas as the go to place for gays. Many of the places and people just don’t seem gay friendly, but I guess if you live in the area there are places that can be worth a shot to go to.

If you do decide to go out in the Las Vegas Area, I would suggest Charlies. It’s been said that they have very good locking guys, and of course that’s always a plus.  Free Zone is another place that is decent. Just a little heads up: the place dosen’t look that great from the outside, but the inside will surprise you.
