Doing some unique gift wrapping for the holidays this year
Guest post written by Lindsay Ruman
There are all kinds of little special things that I like to do for the holidays. I make lots of crafts, including crafts that I can use as decorations around my home. But I’m always on the look out for something else a little special. While I was looking online to see what I could find to do new for this year, I ran across some ideas about making your own wrapping paper and decided to do that. Continue reading
Santorum Speaks Out Against Gay Marriage in New Hampshire
They say, “Live free or die” in the state of New Hampshire. Santorum doesn’t see it that way. His hands-on approach to denying gays their right to marriage shows clearly through his conservative agenda. The man is a card-carrying NRA member is looking to challenge Mitt Romney in the GOP battle of the decade as the election draws nearer. Defensively, Santorum spoke out against gay marriage to a gay-friendly crowd, comparing it to polygamy.
Gay Marriage in Washington State?
Washington may become the seventh state t legalize same-sex marriage. Several gay-rights groups, including a handful of religious organizations have put pressure on the legislature to pass a law in 2012 to enable marriage equality. Senator Ed Murray is openly gay and believes they will have enough votes to pass. Conservative Senator Dan Swecker is against the motion, saying that it will open the door to “other alternatives.” What does he mean? Animals?

Gay Africans Seek Haven
The parliament in Uganda seeks capital punishment for people who engage in homosexual acts. There is suspicion that this anti-gay mindset has its root in the teachings of U.S. evangelical groups. Gay Veteran Re-enlisting
Lee Reinhart of Chicago served in the Navy for four years, followed by three years in the Coast Guard. He was discharged from the Coast Guard in 2002 for being open about being gay. After last month’s repeal of “don’t ask, don’t tell,” Reinhardt has decided to enlist in the Navy Reserve.
Reinhart has been very vocal about repealing DADT after being ousted from the Coast Guard. Someone has finally heard his voice and listened. Reinhart is just one of many thousand of men and women who are affected by this change in a very positive way.

GayDating.com – Gay Dating Website Review
There was a time when gay men had to stay in the closet or risk becoming the victims of hate crimes, or public ridicule. Today, most people have grown to understand and accept homosexuality. As a result, the gay dating industry is booming!
Enter GayDating.com. You can easily create a free gay dating profile on their website to cruise the listings. The website is super-easy to use, and the selection of men to choose from is delightful to say the least. Upon creating my free account, I was able to find local men in my community easily. I must confess, after surfing the profiles I felt compelled to pay for a subscription. But, that is for you to decide. You’ll find many reviews of this gay dating site all over the web and my review is all thumbs-up. But, don’t take my word for it, set up a free gay dating profile and judge for yourself.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Marriage
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are clearly America’s perfect couple, except for one thing – they have kids and aren’t married. Why? Because they are principled people of influence who have made another commitment – not to get married until the entire country has equal marriage rights. Of course, the kids want mom and dad to tie the knot – who can blame them? Read more at the San Francisco Examiner.
Gays in the military come out
The don’t ask, don’t tell (DADT) law took effect during the Bill Clinton era in 1993 and was the first step towards equality for gay people in the military. Now, 18 years later thanks to President Obama’s administration – also Democrats – homosexuals are able to openly express their sexual preferences without fear of losing their status in the military. As a result, many service men and women have come out to openly declare their preferences and this momentous victory in American history.
